SEM observation indicated that the fracture surface was smooth and in the crack origins close to internal hole, the crack propagated mainly in the intergranular mode (Figure b and c). Fatigue striations were observed in the crack propagation region (Figure d).
The simulation data uses spatially complete coverage of surface air temperature whereas the observations use a spatially incomplete mix of air temperatures over land and sea surface temperatures over the ocean. It is expected that this factor alone would cause the observations to show smaller trends than the simulations. Surface weather observations are the fundamental data used for safety as well as climatological reasons to forecast weather and issue warnings worldwide. They can be taken manually, by a weather observer, by computer through the use of automated weather stations, or in a hybrid scheme using weather observers.

Mar 25, · Earth Observation Science (EOS) is the study of the global Earth land-ocean-atmosphere system through observations. The principal tools for such studies are measurements from space since these provide the coverage of the planet that is necessary to capture the behaviour of the entire coupled system.
Data from a wide variety of materials over a timespan of at least 60 years are reviewed. Included are microscopic observations of neck growth, grain growth, pore motion, and pore-boundary interaction. Further, surface area, densification, conductivity, and other property changes are documented. The evidence of climate change from observations of the atmosphere and surface has grown significantly during recent years.
At the same time new improved ways of characterizing and quantifying uncertainty have highlighted the challenges that remain for developing long-term global and regional climate quality data records.Surface Weather Observations at Z: Another way to observe the progression of the storm is to examine data from ground-based weather stations.
These surface observations include barometric pressure, temperature, wind speed and direction, dew point temperature, and precipitation. Meteorologists also note the type of weather that is occurring.
